Departure for Moncton :Depart in the morning toward New Brunswick while enjoying the beautiful landscapes of Eastern Canada along the way. Travel to Moncton, a dynamic city recognized as one of the gateways to the Maritime provinces. Hotel check-in and included meals according to the program
Moncton- îles de la Madeleine : This morning, depart for the famous Magdalen Islands via beautiful Prince Edward Island. Cross the spectacular Confederation Bridge, an impressive 13-kilometre structure spanning the Northumberland Strait and linking the Maritime provinces. Board the CTMA ferry for the crossing to Cap-aux-Meules. After approximately five hours at sea, arrive in the heart of the archipelago, renowned for its breathtaking coastal scenery, red cliffs, and the warm hospitality of the Madelinot people
Îles de la Madeleine : Begin the day exploring Cap-aux-Meules, the main community of the archipelago. Enjoy a guided tour with photo stops, including the magnificent Église La Vernière, one of the largest wooden churches in North America. Continue to the harbour and the Côte à l’Étang-du-Nord site, known for its picturesque fishing harbour and stunning coastal scenery. Stop for photos at the Étang-du-Nord lighthouse before heading to Havre-Aubert. In the afternoon, visit the famous La Grave Historic Site, a reminder of the islands’ rich maritime heritage. Discover the Musée de la Mer before returning to the hotel for a delicious lobster gratin dinner.
Îles de la Madeleine :Today, discover the northeastern part of the Magdalen Islands, including Havre aux Maisons, famous for its colourful homes, rolling landscapes, and impressive red cliffs. Enjoy a guided visit to Le Fumoir d’Antan to learn about traditional fish-smoking methods and ancestral preservation techniques. Continue with a visit to Les Cultures du Large, an interpretation centre dedicated to aquaculture, lobster fishing, and the marine world of the islands. Stop at the spectacular Plage de la Dune-du-Sud before visiting the seal interpretation centre. The day concludes with stops in the picturesque villages of Grosse-Île, Old Harry, and Grande-Entrée, known as the archipelago’s largest lobster fishing port.
Îles de la Madeleine :In the morning, there is an opportunity to join an optional eco-tour excursion at sea to admire the coastal scenery of the Magdalen Islands while learning about their geology, marine wildlife, and seabirds. Visit Le Barbocheux for a tasting of a local artisanal beverage and discover the flavours of the region. Weather permitting, enjoy a lobster roll lunch in an exceptional seaside setting. Continue to the western part of Havre-Aubert with a visit to Site d’Autrefois, offering an immersive experience into Acadian and Madelinot culture and traditions. The day concludes with a visit to the renowned Fromagerie du Pied-de-Vent.
Îles de la Madeleine : In the morning, board the ferry to Souris, a charming coastal village known for its beaches and potato industry. Free time for lunch during the crossing. After crossing the Confederation Bridge once again, continue toward Fredericton, the capital city of New Brunswick. Hotel check-in and free evening
